Four words that are compelling, respectful and often transformational.

Leaders often talk about managing resistance to change but they forget about why people resist change in the first place. People often resist the ideas that appear out of nowhere and land on them as a solution they need to implement. All too often their own thoughts are ignored or sidelined.

People are also wise enough to know not all the ideas can be taken on board. There are many divergent opinions and not every idea will be taken up.. But don’t underestimate the power of engaging people in dialogue and how this builds commitment to change.

Engage people at the sharp end of the work who are close to the customer, making the product, and see what you can discover
